Permanent make-up - how it works

Let's have a look how the permanent make-up works. When the needle penetrates into the skin it damages cells of the skin and blood vessels. And what happens to the pigment that penetrates into the skin during application of the PMU? After the needle has penetrated into the skin we can see petechial hemorrhages there. In this area appears an inflammation while the capillaries dilate and overfill with blood, their walls become thinner.

In consequence of this swelling and flushing (redness) may occur. In the field of application of permanent makeup collected cells, which are responsible for local immunity – they are called active macrophages. These cells try to do their job, which is to maintain normal activities. Destroyed cells and fibers begin to destroy the macrophages, and as a pigment is the same as a foreign body, and it is waited the same fate. "Eaten" pigment accumulates in the cytoplasm, but it is not digested, this is called incomplete phagocytosis by which macrophages are killed, and the tattoo has a place. The formed defect of tissue "sew over" by collagen fibers which braid pigment particles with mesh and restrict them from the surrounding tissues.

As a result of this process formed the so-called "crust" which protects the PMU application area from external damage. Around ink crystals macrophage reaction has not completed yet and therefore here formed epithelial bag, which will allow for a long time to maintain the pigment in the skin. Due to the complex processes of healing of skin pigment is retained in its most superficial layer.

On the 2-3 day after the procedure proliferation phase begins. What it means: cells intensively divide; new capillary network form and in consequence, the affected area intensively supplied with oxygen and the healing process is accelerated.

Epithelialization phase begins immediately after the procedure and is enhanced on the 3-4 day. With the formation of new connective tissue young cells grow. Strongly peeled so-called "crust"...

After tissue recovered, the pigment becomes pale, because by his crystals formed "veil" of collagen fibers, which are enclosed every part of the pigment in a separate capsule, and thus do not allow the immune system to destroy them. It is necessary to follow all master’s recommendations for the treatment of PMU zone, keep it clean and dry, do not touch once again to the convergence of crusts, do not wet, float or scratch. Subject to all rules of care the result is not long to wait. If you violate the rules, the PM can heal spots, spaces, etc.

Fully pigment appears on the third or fourth week after PMU, at the same time your permanent make-up gets its final shade which will be unchanged for about a year, then it will lighten and within three years to go to the gray haze.
